With tens of thousands of people attending each year, Civic Park Carols is one of South Australia’s most anticipated events. It’s a chance to embrace the season’s joy, celebrate the community spirit, and make lasting memories

I was truly privileged to contribute to the magic of the Civic Park Carols, an event that has held a special place in my heart since childhood. As someone who has cherished this community tradition for years, creating interactive artwork for this iconic event was a dream come true.

I designed two interactive photo opportunities that brought joy and creativity to the crowd. One was a vibrant, whimsical elf-themed setup where families and friends could capture playful memories. The other was a dazzling pair of angel fairy wings, inviting attendees to step into the magic of Christmas and snap a photo or two.

These installations were designed to enhance the festive atmosphere, spark smiles, and create moments of connection. Seeing people engage with my artwork and create their own special memories was an absolute highlight and a reminder of why I love what I do.
